If you live in a place where snow piles up fast and high, you might want to consider getting a skid steer double auger snowblower. It can handle deep and heavy snow, as well as ice and packed snow. It can also throw snow farther than a single auger snowblower, making it ideal for clearing large areas or roadsides. Some of the benefits of a skid steer double auger snowblower are:
- It has a high intake height that can handle up to 36 inches of snow.
- It has a powerful fan that can cast snow extremely far
- It has a hydraulic chute and deflector that can be controlled from the cab of the skid steer.
- It has adjustable skid shoes that help prevent surface damage and improve performance.
- It has a no-freeze chute design that prevents metal-to-metal contact and clogging.
A skid steer double auger snowblower is a great investment for anyone who needs to clear large amounts of snow quickly and efficiently. It can save you time, money, and hassle compared to other methods of snow removal.
There is not a standard flow option of this behemoth snow blower. The reason behind this is the intake of such a large snow blower requires extra power to cast the snow out. We do offer a single auger snow blower, but the double auger remains only for high flow machines.
Continuous flow on a skid steer is a feature that allows you to provide power to continuously rotating attachments, such as augers, trenchers, or snowblowers. It is important because it lets you adjust the speed and direction of the attachment without having to hold down a button or switch. It also helps you optimize the performance of the attachment by matching the flow and pressure of the hydraulic fluid to the requirements of the attachment. Continuous flow on a skid steer can be activated by pressing a button on the joystick or using a dial on the display. Make sure to know where this function is when trying out your Skid Pro snow blower!
For the skid steer double auger snow blower, we went with a future proof motor. This unit runs a direct drive 6000-class motor and can withstand up to 60 GPM and 4500 PSI. This ensures that you will be able to use this attachment with any high flow skid steer for years to come.
Hey guys, Josh with SkidPro here, and this monster next to me is the biggest, baddest double auger snow blower to ever go on the front of a skid loader. I'd say best in class, but I'm pretty much makes it the only one in its class. [Music] Thank you. This is our Monster High flow unit with class-leading flow and PSI specs, fan diameter, intake height, linear auger inches, and on. Come join us as we dig deeper into the specs on this bad nude and what makes it such an incredible snow-eating blower.
Skid Pro's earliest beginning can be traced back to snow blowers. It's the first product that we ever built in our facility and still is near and dear to our heart. Heck, snow blowers are a little like our company identity; we're forged by the cold, tough winters we call home, yet always maintaining focus on quality and doing things the right way. No matter how you look at it, we're proud of our snow blowers, and this guy is the Pinnacle of our snow blower lineup.
So let's get into details, and you can see why I'm so excited about this product. At Skid Pro, our Engineers know that a cost-saving, inferior design will never be considered. So when we got to the drawing board on the original double auger Snow lure, we started with durability, knowing full well that it will be used with the industry's largest 90 plus horsepower machines in the most extreme environments imaginable. A blower like this is probably going to spend a majority of its time blowing big snow piles and plowed snow corners. For those of you that don't hail from Minnesota, let me explain; it means super heavy, dense snow with no air, no fluff. We call this stuff white frozen concrete. To counter that, we made sure this unit was constructed in a robust nature and built for the North Country. The Mainframe, side plates, auger blades, and even the fan blades are heavily gusseted for added durability, and the overall frame is as heavy as we dared make it. It shows with this blower tipping the scales at over 1500 pounds. It gives the strength and power to handle any storm.
Well, first and foremost, it's a two-stage blower. Pretty obvious. This design allows for maximum snow-blowing performance and casting distance. It simply means we have an auger that system that chews and feeds, and we have a separate fan system to throw the snow. The most critical first step that some manufacturers miss is you need to have a direct Triumph auger and fan. Utilizing this technology eliminates the need for shear pins and prevents downtime.
Fan Motor: It isn't just the right way to build a skid steer snowblower; it's the only way. This monstrous direct-drive fan motor is at the heart of the blower. Skid Pro custom matches the oversized motor to your exact loader for optimal performance that will power you through the toughest job sites. This beastly 6000 series fan motor can withstand up to 60 gallons per minute and 4500 PSI output, more than any skid loader fan currently can produce.
Fan: When it comes to the fan, there isn't a bigger, tougher one on the market. Extra-large paddles and heavily gusseted with reinforcements, this 29-inch behemoth weighs in over 100 pounds. Unlike much of the competition that runs a smaller fan impeller in the housing circumference, our fan is oversized and completely fills the whole housing with very tight tolerances. Working in conjunction with the restrictor plate, it creates incredible suction to kick out that chewed-up snow faster and further than the competition.
Auger: Now here's where we really separate from the rest of the pack. First of all, there are very few double auger blowers for skid steers on the entire market, and none had the beefiness of this unit. Carrying two massive 16-inch diameter tight spiral augers, the quarter-inch thick, heavily gusseted, and serrated steel augers deliver 532 linear inches of snow-eating power. That's over 44 feet of auger flighting. Not only does it lead the pack there, but its durability is unrivaled in the snowblower world.
Auger Design: Maybe as important as durability is the heavily serrated auger design. It takes aggressive chewing of ice and compact snow to the next level. The serrated auger is a must in extreme conditions and means faster blowing speeds and just overall better performance. Not only does the unit give the most auger circumference and weight of any snow blower, the double stack intake height design also helps the blower deliver an industry-leading 36-inch intake height.
And the icing on the cake, the deep side plates give added strength and a bigger capacity snow mocks our extra-large Deflector.
Shoot: An oversized deflector is built with durability and performance in mind. Less snow wash, better snow discharge, and commercial rain and durability is the key. Second, it's a 100 percent hydraulic rotation and deflector that gets rid of finicky electric motors that fail at the most inopportune times.
No Freeze Shoot: 270-degree shoe rotation and over 90-degree deflector angle help give you ultimate control of putting that snow where you want it. Skid Pro utilizes an industry-exclusive no-freeze shoot design. A Pauline gasket is the secret sauce that prevents metal-on-metal contact, and we laser cut teeth in our shoot body that directly engages with the spline of the direct drive motor. So unlike the competition, there are no chain and rollers to break, bend, or maintain.
Removable Chute: Our design is simpler and stronger, pure and simple. An added cool feature is a removable chute. By undoing two pins and pulling up on the shoe bracket, you can quickly and easily remove the chute. This helps make it more compact for storage and allows for easier stacking in pallet racking during the off-season.
Skid Shoes: Another critical feature of this blower is the four skid shoes, and it isn't just that we have more skid shoes and more adjustability than everyone else. Most importantly is the type of shoe we have. The side skid runners keep your cutting edge up even if you tilt that lower body forward, and because they're so large and long, they give added flotation. But the rear radius skid shoes are really the secret to best performance, durability, and longevity. Why? Because you can make on-the-go cutting edge adjustments without getting out of your skid loader. Simply rotate your bucket, tilt back, and the skid shoe maintains contact on the ground, yet the cutting edge is lifted up. Compare this to the competition's old-school snow blade shoes that require operators to get out of the cab, shim the shoes up or down, then get back in to try out the new setting. Only to find they have to get out again and readjust. Ours can go from gravel to asphalt without leaving the cab. The cutting edge on this blower is made of half by six-inch hardened high carbon steel, making it extremely durable and long-lasting. It is, of course, removable and replaceable.
In addition to the industrial design, the double auger snow blowers are engineered with operator ease in mind. It features protected hydraulics solenoids and hose routing. We kill two birds with one stone here, utilizing our extra-large safety steps. Not only do we have three steps with over 200 square inches of aggressive tread for safe foot placement in and out, we place the step on the left side to cover the valve block and other critical components to make sure they're always protected. When it's dark, snowy, icy, or wet, having a sure step for safety is very reassuring, and knowing you're not going to accidentally step on a solenoid coil, well, that's just plain common sense.
The Skid Pro double auger snowblower also has greasable bearings on both augers, making maintenance a breeze. The oversized bearing is the only grease point on the entire unit.
In addition to all these impressive features, this blower has one of the best powder coat finishes in the industry. The finish helps protect the blower from the elements and ensures that it looks good for years to come.
This blower comes standard with every option you see here. The only thing left for you to do is pick what machine-specific controls you need, and we'll utilize our new Plug and Play harness to give you ultimate control from the cab.
Packed full of cutting-edge technology, yet built from the ground up with that old-school mentality of more steel is better than less and bigger is better than smaller. So if you're in need of one of the toughest snow blowers on the planet, be sure to check out our double auger high-flow blower today.
