A skid steer trencher is an attachment that can be mounted to a skid steer and uses the machine’s hydraulic power to trench through soil quickly and easily. It is commonly used to dig trenches for water, gas or electrical lines and pipes. Skid steer trenchers are popular skid steer attachments for residential and rural construction projects. They are versatile and can be used with almost all skid steer models. We have plenty of skid steer trenchers for sale!
For the Skid Pro trencher, you will break it in by running it out of the ground for 10 minutes, tighten the chain, repeat that process again then run it in the ground for 10 minutes, then tighten the chain once more. After this, your trencher should be broken in and ready for full use.
it is not recommended to use a trencher in rock or slate soil. However, some customers have expressed success when operating slowly. Please only do this at your own risk. The Skid Pro Trencher is designed with a robust digging chain and durable carbide teeth capable of cutting through rocky and clay soils with ease. It's the ideal solution for tough digging conditions but always be careful when operating in these areas.
Our trencher is built with a manual shifting function. This allows you to offset your digging area for more flexibility on the jobsite.
Regular maintenance for your Skid Pro Trencher includes checking hydraulic fluid levels, tightening bolts and connections, and inspecting the trencher chain and teeth for wear. For detailed maintenance instructions and best practices, refer to the user manual or contact our support team.
The Skid Pro Trencher offers various chain configurations for trench widths between 4 and 8 inches and depths up to 48 inches. Choose the right configuration based on your project requirements and skid steer capabilities.
While primarily designed for trenching, some users have successfully used the Skid Pro Trencher for tasks like creating drainage ditches or shallow foundations. However, using the trencher outside its intended purpose may lead to reduced efficiency or increased wear.
