Dick – Just wanted to send you a quick note letting you know I’m officially a proud owner of an X4 Industrial Brush Cutter Open Front, and SP500 Forestry Mulcher. I have also made my brush & tree mastication and fire mitigation business official. Like we talked, both of the Skid Pro products will be the obvious back bone of my operation. I’ve got a bunch of before and after photos, along w/ videos if any of your prospective customers would want to check them out. And if there is anyone in northern California or southern Oregon needing a product demo, I would be happy to facilitate that as well. Thanks for providing incredibly innovative products of the highest quality, built for day-in and day-out commercial use. I look forward to many years of using Skid Pro products to help me grow my business.

Hi Eric, Things are going great with my 48” mulcher on my standard flow Bobcat T190 (16 gpm). It took a little seat-time to figure out the quickest method, but I have it down now. I can line up piles and work through them or take down bushes and small trees in short order. The biggest I've gone through so far is 5-6 inches. The oak and pine chop up quickly, but the manzanita that's very hard takes a few passes. It is however much faster than what I was doing before by cutting the Manzanita down then running it through a chipper. I’m far more productive and have reduced my hand labor to almost zero. Thanks again for a great product and service!

Hi Mike – The backhoe and HF forestry mulcher are awesome! They are doing exactly what we needed them for. Customer service at your company has been top notch. It is very reassuring buying equipment from a company that has customer service like yours and products that back it up. Thank you for your help!
In the skid steer industry, there are a couple types of mulcher. You have both a disc mulcher and a drum mulcher. The drum mulcher is different as the teeth are mounted to a large steel drum, allowing you to push direct down or from the front on your mulcher. The drum mulcher also allows for a slight below ground cut, making it ideal for land clearing.
These terms can be used interchangeably. The difference is when talking about a brush mulcher, most people are talking about a smaller mulcher that isn't meant for oversized trees. This mulcher would fall into the brush mulcher category.
This mulcher is built to take on any of your forestry needs as it is forestry rated. We offer a wide range of sizes, and this mulcher is the smallest of all. However, it has it's place as both a personal use option and when you don't clear trees consistently in your work.
I'm Josh from Skid Pro. Today, we're gonna take an in-depth look at our family of mulchers. We've got the 300 standard flow, 500 standard in high flow, and our big 900 high flow. Within these three models, there's a multitude of different motor and setup options tailor-made to your machine and work situation. So before you decide which mulcher is best for you, I always recommend giving a product guru a call and having an in-depth discussion on what you're trying to accomplish, what your machine is for hydraulic output, and then they can make sure we get you on the right mulcher for the job every time.
Let's take a closer look at all our mulcher models starting with our SP 300.
Here's our SP 300 mulcher. It's one of the most economical motors in the entire industry. It only comes in standard flow and a 48-inch cut. The entire unit is about 60 inches wide because it is mostly going on smaller machines. It's lighter weight, coming in around a thousand pounds, and its low-profile gives good visibility in the cab. It comes with an aggressive cut and a big appetite for brush and trees. The unique thing on the 300, in order to make it more efficient for those smaller machines, is the concave carbide-tipped green teeth. These green teeth can be rotated in three different positions to give you three cutting surfaces for every tooth. This solid steel core drum comes with 60 green teeth and hardened teeth holders. It will give you durability but also efficiency, mostly because of this spiral drum teeth configuration. That way, not all teeth are digging in at the same time, which will increase the productivity on the lower 12 to 20 gallon a minute machines.
Like all attachments at Skid Pro, we make it heavy-duty: heavy-duty frame, integrated top push bar for added durability, integrated bottom skid shoes that are extra-large for added flotation when you're out in the field. Again, it just ties the entire frame together, gives a lot of strength and rigidity to this mulcher. All our motors utilize the time-tested belt and pulley system. The reason we do this is it gives added shock resistance and motor relief protection. We have convenient access panels located on the end; three bolts and you can get access to the super-timing belt and the pulley system that we utilize.
So, here's our motor right here. This is a direct drive into the main driver pulley. Then we run the super tire belt down to the main drive sprocket. This is what powers that 300 mulcher. Check our website for more information and in-depth videos on our drive system. And to top it all off, all Skid Pro mulchers come with a rock-solid one-year warranty and a clean durable powder coat finish.
Here at Skid Pro, we've got a mulcher for every machine in every work situation. For more information, call a product guru at 877-378-4642 or visit us on the web.
